Wottle Cord Hat
Story
A cord hat with Olympic history
Munich, 1972: Dave Wottle lined up for the 800 meters, dead last out of the gate, and somehow clawed his way through the pack to take gold. And he did it in a white cord cap that instantly became part of running lore, dubbed the “comeback cap.” Tracksmith’s Wottle Cord Hat nods to that legendary run with a flat brim, woven cord detail, and their Amateur Athletics crest patch. Inside, it’s updated with modern comforts, including a mesh lining, sweatband, and adjustable strap.
