A quilted jacket hand-dyed using the Japanese Shibori technique

With a quilted lining for insulation, the Khadi cotton shell on the Woody Quilted Shirt Jacket is hand-dyed using a Japanese technique called Shibori to create the unique pattern. Only natural indigo and Harda extracts are used here—no chemical dyes of any kind. With ample pockets and a snap-button closure, it’s a functional, fashionable layer for the wind-whipping seasons ahead.

How to Measure - Chest: Measure straight across from edge to edge, starting 1" below the armhole, multiply by 2 - Shoulder: Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Again, it’s easiest to measure across the back of the garment - Body Length: Start at the top of the shoulder where it meets the neck seam, and measure straight down to the hem - Sleeve Length: Start at the center of the back of the neck, measure straight across to the shoulder seam, and then follow the edge of the garment to the cuff. Pro tip: it’s easiest to measure across the back of the sleeve

“Stitched by: Manjoor,” read the label of the first KARDO shirt we picked up. The next one had a different name, and so did the one after that. That experience was our first glimpse into KARDO’s unique way of manufacturing clothes and working against fast-fashion, mass-produced trends. Each of their sturdy shirts, pants, and jackets is handmade from start to finish in New Delhi by a single tailor in an ethically-run workshop—all part of their belief that carefully made clothes are better clothes.
