Story

An archival design with large, expandable pockets

Filson’s Shelter Cloth Work Jacket takes their signature oil finish Shelter Cloth from England’s historic British Millerain—a pioneer of waxed canvas—to craft a beautiful, hardwearing jacket. In a nod to tradition, the caped shoulder construction eliminates exposed seams for improved water-resistance, plus, large cargo pockets are prepped to carry your EDC while keeping room for hidden hand pockets, too.

How to Measure - Bust: use a flexible measuring tape to measure under your arms around the widest part of your chest - Waist: bend side to side to find your natural waist and measure around that point - Hip: standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat - Arm Length: Start at the center of the back of your neck, measure straight across to the edge of your shoulder bone, and then follow the the natural curve of your arm to middle of your hand. Note: this one is much easier with a partner

Care

  • Do not wash or dry clean
  • Brush or wipe clean with a damp rag
  • Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance
  • To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather
