In 2017 Rancourt celebrated their fiftieth anniversary of handcrafting some of the handsomest, hardest-working, USA-made shoes and boots in existence. We love their boots, so we worked with them to design a boot from the ground up just for the Huckberry family. Now, it’s 2019 and we’re proud to announce that the Wolf Boot is back, in two very special leathers that represent the partnership between Rancourt and American Tanneries.
The uppers of this Wolf Boot are cut from a subtly textured bison leather that Tasman Tannery in Maine crafts to be water resistant and very durable. Once they pass the leather to Rancourt, their skilled shoemakers make each boot by hand, including cutting the leather, forming it to the last and stitching on the mini lug Vibram sole. The result is one of the best boots around, one that, with the proper care, you might find yourself handing down to the next generation with pride.
