1974 Rolex 1680 White Dial MK1 Submariner
Story
An in-demand vintage diver with a well-preserved case
Rolex reference 1680 was the first to introduce a date complication to the Submariner line, marking the style’s transition from a task-oriented dive instrument to a multitasking daily driver. This near-pristine 1975 Sub features the rare "MK1" dial layout, defined by its bold yellow tritium markers and matching hand set. Featuring thick lugs, an original MK3 faded-black bezel insert, and sharp factory bevels that are completely intact, this is an incredibly honest, remarkably robust piece of scuba gear—now perfect for regular wear. Although separate from its “born-with” bracelet, it features a mid-90s service replacement Oyster bracelet that’s completely acceptable by even the pickiest of collectors.
