The 14270 Explorer I has its roots in summiting peaks and off-mountain cliffs. Its rugged nature may not resonate at first glance; however, its older siblings have taken beatings at elevation. The 14270 is the neo-vintage era Explorer I. At 36 mm, it punches above its weight and offers a classic, elegant simplicity with underlying adventure DNA. This specific piece was recently tuned up at Rolex’s Service Center and comes with an RSC card indicating it has undergone a recent service and polish. The dial and hands are original and have not been replaced, which is something RSC typically does on vintage pieces.
