While visiting a historic shoe workshop in Italy’s Apennine Mountains, Yuketen designer Yuki Matsuda was inspired to create the perfect hiking boot. That initial spark led to the Vettore, and we’d say they nailed it—this boot is damn near perfect. It’s crafted from flesh-out, full-grain Tosca leather sourced from Tuscany’s Opera tannery and made only for Yuketen, and it gives the boot incredible toughness and a plush, suede-like texture. The scalloped storm welt construction keeps mud and rain at bay, and inside, a multi-layer insole system molds to your foot shape for a perfect fit. Finished with a lightweight, grippy Cortina Cork Lug sole and genuine kudu hide laces, the Vettore has the looks and the chops to handle any route, from mountain trails to city streets.
