Red Clay’s signature hot sauce had an unexpected effect when chef Geoff Rhyne introduced it to the public in an oyster dish: converting a whole heck of a lot of non-hot sauce people into believers in the whole hot sauce “thing”. The key was that his signature blend was designed not to steal the spotlight, but enhance the other flavors in the dish. And of course, it didn’t hurt that—like all Red Clay foods—it was made with quality ingredients, carefully balanced flavors, and time-honored techniques.

Sauces

  • Original Sauce: Red Clay’s award-winning sauce that put them on the map. Mild in heat, it’s made with fresno chiles that have a mild, smoky flavor. Great with rotisserie chicken, crab cakes, bloody marys, chili, and more.
  • Verde Hot Sauce: This zesty serrano pepper sauce has a bit of bite and delicious flavor with the addition of cilantro, fennel, and onion. Made with vibrant, versatile, and spicy serrano peppers. Goes great with carne asada, avocado toast, bloody marys, scrambled eggs, and more.
  • Carolina Hot Sauce: This sauce starts with a blend of fresno and Carolina reaper chiles that’s aged for three months in bourbon barrels to mellow some of the heat and let some sweetness shine through. It’s got all the classic flavor of their Original Sauce, but with smoky notes and a bit more of a kick. Put it on carne asada, avocado toast, bloody marys, scrambled eggs and everything else.
  • Barrel-Aged Hot Honey: Sustainably sourced wildflower honey from Georgia. Left in its pure, unfiltered raw state, infused with a habanero pepper mesh for a touch of heat, and aged in bourbon barrels for a light woodsy note. Delicious on breakfast biscuits, salmon, roasted carrots, and even ice cream!
  • Barrel-Aged Southern Honey: 100% pure, raw, and unfiltered wildflower honey that’s sustainably sourced in Georgia, aged in bourbon barrels to add just a touch of smoky, woodsy flavor.
