The Ojai Chore Coat
The Ojai Chore Coat
Story
Inspired by French workwear from the 1800s
Truth be told, there’s no jacket quite like the Ojai. Inspired by French workwear from the 1800s, its look falls perfectly between elevated and easy-wearing. While the silhouette remains true to its 1800s predecessors, each year Taylor Stitch builds it out of a new material, allowing the Ojai to take on a new life every time they release a fresh rendition. This one comes in a heavyweight 12-ounce cotton corduroy reminiscent of California-cool, anti-establishment looks of the 70s—the perfect recipe for a coat that will earn its stripes and age like fine bourbon.

About Taylor Stitch
Getting ahold of Taylor Stitch’s apparel is like going back in time—to an era before cheap, disposable clothes flooded the market and our Instagram feeds. This stuff is built well, for the long haul, from durable fabrics sourced from handpicked mills around the world. And Taylor Stitch knows, especially after a couple years of wear, their duds will be some of the softest, and hardest-wearing in your closet. It might just be the “Taylor” in their name, but their clothes really do have the fit and feel like they were made one-at-a-time.
