Proven at the world's most prestigious trail-running event, HOKA's new Tecton X 4—an evolution of the original Tecton X that debuted in 2022—is built for speed on technical terrain. Featuring parallel carbon plates sandwiched between a PROFLY™ X series MetaRocker curved midsole made from dual-layer PEBA, the brand's lightest and most resilient foam, it offers improved energy return and controlled forward propulsion. Combined with the shoe's Vibram Megagrip Litebase outsole finished with 4mm lugs, you get best-in-class traction and stability.
Its breathable, durable, drainable Matryx® Micro upper, made from a high-performance, Kevlar-infused woven textile, extends into a gaiter-like knit collar that adds ankle support and comfort by reducing friction points and keeping debris out. But the shoe is far from suffocating, even with its secure, trail-racing-style fit. The Texton X 4 features a dynamic, responsive forefoot vamp that stretches as your foot swells—an inevitability when you're running at altitude.
