Merz b.’s Sturdy Cotton T-Shirt, also known as the 2M15 tee, doesn’t differ much from the iconic 215 model Carmy wore in The Bear. For the 2M15, the German company tapped a 6.8oz jersey cotton, which is a tad less structured than the 215. The 2M15 is also designed with side seams, a detail that allows the tee to be more tailored and follow the body’s organic shape. The result is a more relaxed and flexible tee to counter the 215’s straight and boxy design. Choose this guy for an alternative “Carmy” shirt that fits more like today’s modern tees.

How to Measure - Chest: Measure straight across from edge to edge, starting 1" below the armhole, multiply by 2 - Shoulder: Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Again, it’s easiest to measure across the back of the garment - Body Length: Start at the top of the shoulder where it meets the neck seam, and measure straight down to the hem - Sleeve Length: Start at the center of the back of the neck, measure straight across to the shoulder seam, and then follow the edge of the garment to the cuff. Pro tip: it’s easiest to measure across the back of the sleeve

About Merz b. Schwanen

Of all the clothing brands out there, perhaps none takes the adage “quality over quantity” more to heart than Merz b. Schwanen. Founded in 1911 by Balthazar Merz, the brand was brought back to life decades later when the future founders discovered a 90-year-old henley shirt at a Berlin flea market. They were moved by the quality of the garment to revitalize the brand and soon began a long process of restoring rare Loopwheeler machines (originally built between 1889 and 1969) in a workshop in the Swabian Alps of Germany. Each machine is dedicated to a particular size, and it takes an hour to knit enough fabric, row by row, for a single shirt.
