A waxed canvas jacket that’s effortlessly tough and steeped in old-school hunting style

As far as heritage jackets go, it doesn’t get much more timeless than the Flannel Lined Waxed Hudson. Men’s hunting jackets were originally crafted to handle the harshest weather imaginable, and this modern rendition takes after its forefathers with a waterproof waxed canvas outer and warm flannel lining. It’ll develop a handsome patina over time, but if you ever need to do more than dust it off, just spot treat any stains and re-wax it once in a while to keep it as waterproof as possible.

Sizing

• The Waxed Hudson fits like a traditional hunting jacket with a straight fit and room through the body, and hits below the hip
• If you normally wear a XXL, we recommend sizing up. Our 3XL fits more like a traditional XXL

How to measure

• Chest: Wrap a measuring tape under your arms and measure around the widest part of your chest.
• Hip: Measure around your torso at your hip bone.
• Arm Length: You might need a second pair of hands for this one. Start with the measuring tape at the center of your neck. Measure across to your shoulder bone, then down to your wrist holding your elbow slightly bent.
• Jacket Length: Use a jacket at home to compare. Start with the measuring tape at the top of the shoulder and measure to the bottom of the hem. This will give you an idea of where the jacket will end on your body.

Materials & Care

British Millerain waxed canvas is famous for its exquisite craftsmanship. Based in Lancashire for over six generations, they’re the original manufacturer of waxed cotton with a close attention to detail and expert-level quality. The Tekwax Evolution 8 has a drier handfeel and enhanced weather-resistant properties when compared with traditional waxed cotton. The wax is pressed into the cotton yarns under carefully controlled temperature and pressure in their UK mill.
