The Asics Skyhand Sneaker is inspired by the original handball heritage sneakers that held court in the ’90s. Retro design elements—such as suede paneling and a slimmer-cut for agile movements on and off the court—are countered by modern upgrades. EVA cushioning in the heel handles shock-absorption, and there’s also a heel counter and sockliner to step up the Skyhand’s comfort game. About Asics
Breaking onto the footwear scene back in the 1940s, Asics’ sneaker-obsessed founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka, hoped to bring a fresh, innovative take to a predominantly Western footwear industry.
