Crafted from Seawool, this performance sun hoodie from Wellen was produced with a combination of recycled plastic bottles and upcycled oyster shells—an incredible step forward for sustainable textiles. Seawool shares many of the same qualities we love about merino wool: soft to the touch, temperature regulating, quick drying, antimicrobial, durable, all while rescuing a great deal of waste from ending up in landfills and oceans. Seawool is a yarn created from pulverized oyster shells and recycled plastic bottles. Wondering why you aren’t seeing “Seawool” below? Our House Brands team informed us that due to customs reasons, we have to declare Seawool as recycled polyester because even with pulverized oyster shell content, it is recycled polyester in its final fiber form.
