The Sea Quartz 30 GMT Watch can trace its roots all the way back to 1977, when Momentum’s founder, Simon Pinnell, released one of the first diver’s watches under his Chronosport brand. Beloved by divers and made even more popular once Tom Selleck sported it on Magnum P.I., the Sea Quartz 30 quickly became an icon. Now, with a few more decades of watchmaking expertise under their belt, Momentum is updating this classic design with updates to the lume performance and new scratch-proof sapphire for supreme durability all while maintaining that classic look.

About Momentum
Before starting Momentum, founder Simon and his family owned a watch company called Chronosport. In 1977, they launched one of the first-ever analog quartz diver’s watches, the Sea Quartz 30. The brand became so popular that it was soon sold in almost every serious dive store in the US and Canada. This watch was also famously worn by Tom Selleck in the first 3 seasons of the hit show Magnum PI. Now, from their home base in Vancouver, Canada, Momentum hand makes watches with the same attention to detail and reverence for the killer style of the past.
