Huckberry x GORUCK Rucking Weight Vest
Story
An exclusive waxed canvas version of the GORUCK 4.0 plate carrier with a co-branded patch
We teamed up with rucking pioneer GORUCK to rework their weight vest, moving away from standard nylon toward a custom two-tone heritage look constructed from 10.10oz Army Duck waxed canvas from the legendary Fairfield Textiles. This collaborative vest is built to withstand the friction of high-intensity rucking while developing a personalized patina over time. It’s a piece of gear that honors the military history of their popular plate carrier while looking right at home in your garage gym or on a mud-trodden trail.
The evolution at play in their 4.0 plate carrier is most evident in its ergonomic design. Historically, weighted vests fit like a cage, restricting your range of movement and interrupting your natural breathing rhythm. This design solves that with a low-profile silhouette and specialized curved plates with a hollow center, features that allow your lungs to expand fully and your body to move naturally, ensuring that the only thing pushing you to your limit is the weight itself—not your gear.

About GORUCK
Started by former Special Forces and CIA couple Jason and Emily McCarthy, GORUCK came up around the same time we did. Their mission, to build a ruckpack of the highest standards to thrive in conditions from NYC to Baghdad, caught our attention. And over the years we’ve shared good times, worked our asses off at GORUCK Challenges, and toasted more than a few Bud heavies with them. New military-grade releases continue to impress, so whether you’re traveling the world or “embracing the suck” with a 30-pound plate in your rucksack, you can be sure your gear’s up to the challenge.
