Rollkragen Sweater
Rollkragen Sweater
Story
Ultra-warm knit crafted from 1 full kg of virgin wool
Synonymous with warmth, wool has earned this well-deserved reputation for good reason—it’s cozy as hell. But don’t ask us, ask the submariners throughout history who depended on it to keep out the chill of relentless sea winds. Heimat channels this rich legacy in its Rolkragen sweater, knitted and hand-finished in Germany from extra-long fibers. Highly resistant to pilling, this 5-gauge knit will hold its shape for years of wear to come. And since the wool’s natural oils help retain its self-cleaning and water-resistant properties, your sweater will spend more time on the high seas and less in the laundry.

About Heimat
Throw on one of Heimat’s sturdy knits, and you’ll quickly realize sweaters were the original performance layers. Before the whole genre of “performance outerwear” was born, the world’s fishermen, mountaineers, and Steve Zissous relied on durable sweaters like these to carry them to the horizon and back with their body temperatures intact. So it makes sense that the word Heimat in German can be roughly translated to “home away from home.” Knitted and hand finished in Germany with 100% soft and toasty wool, Heimat’s collection feels steeped in nostalgia. If you’re looking for classic everyday knitwear that would also gladly hop in your bag for an around-the-world voyage, you can’t do much better than these.
