About Arizona Ironwood
Arizona Ironwood, also known as Desert Ironwood, is native to Southwestern US and Sonoran Desert. It is one of the hardest and densest woods in the world. Native Americans have used this wood for centuries. Settlers used it for their wagon wheels. Its colors are said to depict the Southwest desert sunsets with dark rich tones sometimes splashes of reddish, yellowish and even purple hues.
About Damascus Steel
Damascus Steel is characterized by its strength, edge holding ability, and its dramatic appearance. The Damascus Steel used in these knives comes from Japan and is called Sanmai Damascus or Sandwich Damascus. There is a core of vg-10 steel with 16 layers of stainless steel on each side to produce a rust free Damascus blade.
