About
Founded by designer Yuki Matsuda following his travels through rural Mexico in the 1990s, Chamula strives to preserve the art of delicately-made goods in the Mexican highlands. Every product is imbued with the rich character and delightful variances that can only be achieved through the careful handiwork of master craftsmen and women. From spinning local Merino wool to hand-painting vegetable-tanned leathers, Chamula's traditional production methods ensure that every piece is deeply personal and carries a unique soul that machine-made goods cannot replicate.
