Story

Lightweight waterproof hiker for soggy treks

Building on the legacy of a trusted warm-weather hiker—the N45—Danner decided to make a waterproof version so folks could enjoy the same lightweight comfort when dusty trails turn to mud. The N45 Low Hiking Sneaker features a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit build that shields your feet from storms and splashes while remaining impressively breathable and lightweight. A stiff TPU rock plate adds stability and protection when shouldering heavy packs, and the EnduroFoam midsole provides the energy return needed to keep going, mile after mile. It’s rounded out with an exclusive Vibram® N45 outsole that chews up any terrain and is recraftable for high-mileage hikers.

About Danner

At the height of the Great Depression, Charles Danner moved west to Portland, OR with a simple yet bold mission—to make the most durable, capable logging boots in the country. Generations of Pacific Northwest loggers could tell you he did just that. And military servicemen and avid hikers could tell you Danner’s mission grew to outfit them as well. Today, nearly a hundred years later, they’re still handbuilding iconic hiking and logging boots in Portland—while also forging new paths in lightweight hybrid boots for the trail and city. Hands down, there are few boots better than these to lace up for your next adventure.
