Iconic Vans’ sneaker outfitted with hiker tech

Vans took their signature canvas and vulcanized style, infused it with some off-road tech, and got the next-level MTE UltraRange Neo VR3 Sneaker. A suede and mesh upper add durability and breathability to their iconic silhouette while an EVA midsole and molded heel cup offer extra cushion for long treks. With a lightly treaded outsole and an adjustable lace-up closure, these look—and perform—as great on a mountain path as they do in the city.

UPGRADED OUTSOLE: All of the rubber used to make this outsole (60% of the compound) is regeneratively grown natural rubber sourced from farms utilizing agricultural practices that are intended to promote biodiversity, enhance water cycles, improve soil health and/or sequester carbon. This natural rubber compound was developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability Vans is known for (since ’66).

About Vans

Vans got its start in 1966 in a small Anaheim, CA factory attached to its first retail store. In that one-stop shop they dreamed up new models, figured out how to build them, and chatted with regulars about where to go next. If you’ve ever sworn by a pair of Vans, you know how the story went from there. From their origins as the first true skate shoe for 1960s pool-trespassing skaters to Spicoli donning checkered Vans in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, they’ve grown into a staple—a quintessential canvas, vulcanized sneaker. To give you the full picture, we stocked our shop with a mix of their newest technical, outdoor footwear, and classics based on those originals they made out of Anaheim in the ‘60s and early ‘70s.
