The rich history of Detroit’s sign painters inspired this collection of handsome timepieces. Designed to honor the steady hands, clever designs, and unparalleled ability of the self-described “mechanics” to clearly and cleverly convey a message, the Shinola Mechanic 3H 39mm watches are a masterclass in modern-day timekeeping. Shinola’s first-ever mechanical manual-wind movement is complemented by throwback design elements like the domed dial, box crystal, curved hands, and a toothy crown for easy winding. The numbers are illustrated in the same style as the sharp, witty ads scrawled on the sides of brick-walled auto shops, tying together a truly unique timepiece.
