Vintage Czechoslovakian sneakers recreated for modern wear
If you wandered the streets of the small town of Partizánske—now in present day Slovakia—in the 1950s-1980s, there’s a great chance you’d see the townspeople wearing this exact same model of ZDA sneakers. All ZDA Marathon Trainers were handmade by Czechoslovakian cobblers in bustling factories until, unfortunately, ZDA’s production came to a standstill. Fast forward to 2016 when a Japanese designer hit the reset button on ZDA and brought back their heritage styles with the same lasts and handmade production practices they were originally made with.
