Sanders
Madrid Penny Loafer
Madrid Penny Loafer
Story
A full leather, Goodyear-welted loafer
Sanders opened their doors in 1873, and through over 150 years of hard work and dedication, they’ve crafted some of the most high-quality shoes you can find, period. There’s nothing flashy about their Madrid Penny Loafer—it stays true to the classic penny loafer form—but that allows its materials and craftsmanship to shine. It’s made with smooth, supple calf leather inside and out, and its Goodyear welt construction makes it durable, weather-resistant, and resoleable, so you can wear your pair for a lifetime.

About Sanders
Honestly, it’s a mystery how Sanders has kept such a low profile here in the USA. Across the pond in the UK, the brand is widely known for their high-quality heritage shoemaking techniques. Just skim their history (they were founded in 1873) and you’ll see this brand is special: Their shoes equipped the British Army in WWI, and James Bond wore a pair in 2015’s Spectre. Maybe they’ve spent the majority of their effort on making great shoes, rather than promoting themselves? Whatever the case, having their footwear in our collection makes us feel like we’ve ascended to a higher plane of connoisseurship. Over a hundred and fifty years later, it’s about time Sanders gets the international recognition they deserve.
