Story
These boots were made for thriving in the jungle, and equipped for any exploration
You can send GORUCK gear to hell and back and it'll come back looking unscathed and ready for the next adventure. The MACV-1 boots are modeled after the most beloved boots in Special Forces history—the Vietnam-era Jungle Boot. Suitable for a long day on your feet and any environment you could ever find yourself airdropped into, these boots are perfect for an adventurer who prefers boots that can handle the tough stuff and still be comfortable all day long.
Features
- Tough 6" boot made with long-lasting materials and designed to perform
- Full-grain Challenge Leather™ upper with 1000D CORDURA® and 2" nylon webbing for added ankle support
- All-terrain outsole made to perform in any environment, including wet and muddy terrain
- Custom compression foam insert supports you from heel to toe
- Wide toe box lets your toes breath, especially convenient during long hikes
- Speed laces are 3 mm thin so they clean, dry, and tie faster than regular laces
- Shielding drain holes keep sand and debris out and repel moisture with every step
- Ankle webbing sewn into the heel counter for extra stability
- Ideal 13 mm heel-to-toe drop for rucking reduces the strain on your body
- Lightweight EVA midsole helps disperse your weight evenly and improves stability
- Injection molded plastic heel counter wrapped in premium suede gives stability and prevents friction
- No spacer mesh so your boots don't get waterlogged
- No break-in time, they're ready to go right out of the box
Material
- Upper: Full-grain leather with 1000D CORDURA® and 2" nylon webbing
- Insert: Compression foam
- Midsole: Lightweight EVA
- Outsole: Rubber
Sizing
- The MACV-1 runs true to size with a wide toe box, which allows your toes to spread out over time and distance
- If you're unsure we recommend going a half size up since your feet will swell when rucking or traveling and you probably won't be wearing cheap thin socks (merino wool recommended)
