About Merz b. Schwanen
Originally founded in 1911, Merz B Schwanen was reborn in 2011 when designers Gitta and Peter Plotnicki found one of their first henleys at a flea market. They saw that at 90 years-old, this henley still had life in it and decided that Merz B Schwanen had to make a comeback. Floored by the henley’s quality, craftsmanship, and insane comfort, Gitta and Peter found the original factory in southern Germany, repaired the century-old loopwheel machines, and got to work on reviving the brand. With each new release, you can tell that the legacy of Merz B Schwanen is just as alive today as it was in 1911.
