The everyday blazer perfected by a French style icon
The Royal Navy might have concocted the blazer way back in the mid-19th century, but in 2019 it’s still as prominent in daily wear as ever. This closet staple survived the test of time without too much change to its original design—that is, until Vetra got a hold of it, and revamped the vintage silhouette with classic French workwear features. They stripped down the traditional blazer, added features and a construction similar to the chore coat, and polished it up with a lapel collar that would make a chore coat ready for a black tie event—okay, maybe not that extreme, but it looks damn sharp.
