The Aymara story is something straight out of a book: Sven Van Gucht (a Belgian engineer) and Yannina Esquivias (a Peruvian travel agent) met overseas during their individual sabbaticals from work, fell deeply in love, got married, and moved back to Yannina’s home country of Peru to start a knitwear company with her family. Over ten years have passed and the spirit of Aymara’s founding is still present in every weave of their remarkably cozy sweaters. Each one is knit with care and an attention to detail you can only find from a family-owned business.
