Journey Wax Jacket
Journey Wax Jacket
Story
A hardwearing heritage jacket for the road ahead
Some jackets get tired with age—this one only gets better. Heimet took a German army field shirt and a classic work jacket, then reimagined them in dry waxed cotton from Halley Stevensons—a Scottish mill that has been perfecting weatherproof fabrics since the 1800s. The fabric shrugs off wind and rain and builds a rich patina the more you put it through. To top it off, raglan sleeves free up your range of motion, while inside and outside pockets keep the essentials tucked away. Over knitwear in the city or long hauls abroad—this one goes wherever the journey leads.

About Heimat
Throw on one of Heimat’s sturdy knits, and you’ll quickly realize sweaters were the original performance layers. Before the whole genre of “performance outerwear” was born, the world’s fishermen, mountaineers, and Steve Zissous relied on durable sweaters like these to carry them to the horizon and back with their body temperatures intact. So it makes sense that the word Heimat in German can be roughly translated to “home away from home.” Knit and hand finished in Germany with 100% soft and toasty wool, Heimat’s collection feels steeped in nostalgia. If you’re looking for classic everyday knitwear that would also gladly hop in your bag for an around-the-world voyage, you can’t do much better than these.
