Japanese denim woven on antique shuttle looms with a hint of stretch
When our Design Director Nick Kemp set out to create our limited-edition Japanese Stretch Selvedge Denim, he went to the Kaihara Mill, a 133-year-old plant in Hiroshima Prefecture known for its high-quality heritage denim fabric.
Each pair of Japanese Stretch Selvedge starts with a 12.5 oz Kaihara selvedge infused with 2% stretch, woven on antique shuttle looms. From there, our factories meticulously tailor the fits, and each pair is reinforced with copper rivets and finished with a full leather patch and the signature red selvedge ID. It’s our faithful reproduction of the best heritage denim of the past, with a modern twist that makes it comfortable from day one.

How to Measure
- Garment Waist: measure from side to side along the top of the waistband, multiply by 2
- Thigh: starting 1" down from the crotch seam, pull the measuring tape from edge of edge across the thigh
- Leg Opening: measure at the bottom of the leg across from edge to edge
- Inseam: measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the shorts or pants
