Flint and Tinder’s Japan Reserve Capsule reimagines American classics through the lens of Japanese craftsmanship. Ever since our Head Designer, Nick Kemp, flipped through Japanese vintage clothing magazines early in his career, he’s been inspired by the idea of wabi-sabi—finding beauty in simplicity, and honoring the imperfections that come with age.
Woven on original Toyoda shuttle looms (built by the precursor to Toyota), this 14oz Japanese selvedge possesses a slubby, irregular texture and character that modern high-speed looms just can't reproduce. The vintage straight fit provides a timeless, comfortable silhouette that allows the indigo to fade and crease uniquely to you, ensuring no two pairs ever look quite the same.

How to Measure
- Waist: Align the front and back waistbands so they’re stacked on top of each other, then measure from edge to edge across the middle of the waistband, multiply by 2
- Thigh: Starting 1" below the crotch seam, measure straight across from edge to edge (not from seam to seam)
- Leg Opening: Measure across the bottom hem from edge to edge
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down to the bottom of the leg hem, following along the inside of the leg

- Denim weight: 14oz
- Machine wash cold inside out with similar colors, do not bleach, tumble dry low, iron on low heat
