Story

The boot that became a Hollywood icon

Originally designed as a work boot in the 1930s, the Alden Indy Boot grew into an icon that’s equal parts utility and style. The boot earned its nickname after Harrison Ford wore it in each of the original Indiana Jones films. This version is made in soft, durable light brown suede. Each pair is hand-finished at the Alden workshop in Middleborough, Massachusetts, with a tempered steel shank under the arch for support, a Goodyear welt construction for re-soleing, and a rugged Commando outsole for traction and durability.

About Alden

Founded in 1884 by Charles H. Alden in Middleborough, Massachusetts, Alden has spent well over 140 years making the finest leather footwear in the United States. They’re renowned for using premium leathers from the world’s best tanneries—often from the famous Horween Leather Company in Chicago, where it's long been rumored that Alden gets first pick of the maker’s iconic shell cordovan. The same attention to craft carries over to Alden’s Middleborough workshop, where skilled artisans—some second- and third-generation—hand-finish each pair, a testament to the brand's status as one of New England's longest-surviving shoemakers.
