Hunters Tote
Story
Iconic all-purpose bag with a water-resistant liner
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree with the L.L. Bean Hunter’s Tote. It’s based on the famous Boat and Tote, but, as the name suggests, it was created for hunters who needed help hauling their gear. The biggest difference between the two is their material construction. The Boat and Tote takes heavy-duty 24 oz. cotton canvas. The Hunter’s Tote, on the other hand, is built from 1200-denier polyester with a thermoplastic liner that’s fully water-resistant—ideal for messier cargo.

About L.L. Bean
In 1911, Leon Leonwood Bean returned from a hunting trip with cold, damp feet and a revolutionary idea. He decided he’d create his own innovative boot—one that combined durable leather uppers with comfortable (and waterproof) rubber bottoms. Bean called it the Maine Hunting Shoe, which eventually became the famous Bean Boot. Over the next 100 years, the Freeport, Maine-based brand created one iconic product after another. The Field Coat, the Boat and Tote, and the Norwegian Sweater, to name a few. While the story of L.L. Bean is still being written, one thing will never change: the outdoors will always be at the heart of it.
