Story

Exclusive slides designed in the iconic Mossy Oak Bottomland camo

In 1986, Mossy Oak founder and CEO Toxey Haas took a handful of Mississippi mud, sticks, and leaves and transformed them into a new type of camouflage. Thus, the Mossy Oak Bottomland camo was born, and it drew hunters' attention for its natural, earthy elements and colors that hid outlines and blended into the environment.

We partnered with Danner and Mossy Oak to bring the Bottomland camo to life in one of our favorite summer slides: the Shelter Cove Sandal. The exclusive design sits upon a plush EVA foam upper and midsole, a contoured footbed with light tread, and an ultra-durable Vibram® Black Sands outsole with Megagrip technology. It’s the kind of adventure slide we’d wear on a weekend away from the 9-5—whether that be a cabin or a campsite.

About Danner

At the height of the Great Depression, Charles Danner moved west to Portland, OR, with a simple yet bold mission—to make the most durable, capable logging boots in the country. Generations of Pacific Northwest loggers could tell you he did just that. And military servicemen and avid hikers could tell you Danner’s mission grew to outfit them as well. Today, nearly a hundred years later, they’re still handbuilding iconic hiking and logging boots in Portland—while also forging new paths in lightweight hybrid footwear for the trail and city.
