What began in the 1940s as a hill-country getaway for the LA counterculture (complete with sun-worship and psychedelia) evolved over time into the nature-loving garden paradise that is Flamingo Estate. They work with like-minded farmers to craft environmentally responsible goods made with natural materials—the kind of ingredients you can trace all the way back to the farmer that planted, watered, and harvested it. They send out boxes overflowing with fresh produce to folks in their area, and each Friday they include a custom recipe to try with the ingredients in your box.
