Military-inspired, Japanese-crafted tote bag

Take a close look at this tote and you’ll notice a subtle color variation between the main bag and the large front pocket. That’s intentional—an homage to slightly irregular military gear. Its details like the onion-quilted orange interior and removable pouch put Porter-Yoshida & Co. on the map. Well, on the Japanese map. You can’t find their bags just anywhere so we’re stoked we scored some to share with you here.

Porter-Yoshida & Co. is doing their part to keep Japan’s reputation for meticulous craftsmanship alive and well. They put all their energy into making bags and accessories. That’s it. And they’ve been doing it since 1962 (parent brand Yoshida & Co. has actually been around since the 30s). Haven’t heard of them? Maybe because their bags aren’t widely sold internationally—although they’ve amassed a devout following in Japan—so we’re pretty damn fortunate to get our hands on some.
