Limited-edition Johnny Cash Waxed Trucker Jacket, made for the ones who walk their own line

We spent the past year working with the Cash estate to develop a limited-edition collection that’s equal parts grit and grace. We pored over thousands of archival photos, handwritten lyrics, and personal mementos to make sure each piece reflected the legacy of the Man in Black.

This exclusive Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker is just one part of the collection. It’s wrapped in that timeless all-black Johnny made famous, and built using a wind- and water-resistant 7oz Martexin sailcloth shell. Subtle details like a black blanket liner and hardware, and a special “Johnny Cash Show with Huckberry” patch on the interior media pocket, are added to pay tribute.

Materials

Martexin 7oz sailcloth, like selvedge denim or finely tanned leather, will only get better with age. It's manufactured in Bridgeton, New Jersey by Fairfield Textiles—a renowned US fabric mill that's been around since 1930. To make the fabric in this jacket, 100% cotton is woven into a strong canvas material called sailcloth, and then gets coated in Martexin Original Wax for weather-resistance and enhanced durability.

• The Waxed Trucker has a traditional trucker fit that hits right at your hip, size up if you're planning to wear a mid to heavyweight layer underneath

How to Measure - Your Chest: use a flexible measuring tape to measure under your arms around the widest part of your chest - Your Waist: bend side to side to find your natural waist and measure around that point - Your Arm Length: Start at the center of the back of your neck, measure straight across to the edge of your shoulder bone, and then follow the the natural curve of your arm to middle of your hand (this one is much easier with a partner) - Garment Chest: Measure straight across from edge to edge, starting 1" below the armhole, multiply by 2 - Garment Shoulder: Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. (it’s easiest to measure across the back of the garment - Garment Body Length: Start at the top of the shoulder where it meets the neck seam, and measure straight down to the hem - Garment Sleeve Length: Start at the center of the back of the neck, measure straight across to the shoulder seam, and then follow the edge of the garment to the cuff (it’s easiest to measure across the back of the sleeve)
