A refined full-zip cardigan crafted for easy layering
It may come as a surprise to learn that the cardigan can be traced back to the military, specifically the 7th Earl of Cardigan, James Brudenell. A prominent member of the 19th-century English aristocracy, he paid his way to power and spent just shy of $1M in today’s dollars on new uniforms for his men. A successful crusade made his knit coat—a cardigan—commonplace. Our full-zip cardigan from Wills borrows the same sharp, comfort-driven silhouette minus the bulk. We elevated it in a premium fabric blend anchored by merino wool and cashmere, and added a ribbed collar and cuffs, along with a kissing zipper closure to add to its lean and streamlined look.

How to Measure
- Chest: Measure straight across from edge to edge, starting 1" below the armhole, multiply by 2
- Shoulder: Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Again, it’s easiest to measure across the back of the garment
- Body Length: Start at the top of the shoulder where it meets the neck seam, and measure straight down to the hem
- Sleeve Length: Start at the center of the back of the neck, measure straight across to the shoulder seam, and then follow the edge of the garment to the cuff. Pro tip: it’s easiest to measure across the back of the sleeve
Hand wash cold or dry clean; do not tumble dry; lay flat to dry; cool iron if needed
