Recipes and tips for the most archaic of cooking methods

We love our grills, but there’s a whole world of outdoor cooking beyond the grates. In Cooking On Fire, authors Eva and Nicolai Tram (who now own a Michelin star restaurant) introduce us to the art and science of open-fire cooking. Part how-to guide, part recipe book, you’ll learn how to build a fire, choose the right equipment, and apply different cooking techniques so you can sit by the fire and enjoy the process as much as the result.

Features

  • Filled with full-color images and expert advice
  • Includes open-fire recipes, cooking techniques, and practical tips
  • Instructions on how to build campfires and what equipment to use

About the Authors

Eva and Nicolai Tram both come from careers in the gastronomic world and food media: she was a sommelier and food critic, he was a chef at fine dining restaurants and TV producer. In 2017, they moved with their two young boys from Copenhagen to the Swedish woods, seeking a better balance between work and family life. Today they run Knystaforsen, a campfire restaurant that earned a Michelin star in 2022.
