Story

A Cuban-inspired take on the classic SSBD from a made-in-USA shirt company

Only a few shirt companies have managed to keep 100% of their production in the United States—Gitman Brothers is one of them. With a family business that stretches back nearly 90 years, and third- and fourth-generation shirt makers on staff, Gitman knows a thing or two about heritage. But since launching Gitman Vintage in 2008, they’ve expanded with forward-thinking designs and modern silhouettes. The result is some of the handsomest shirts around that never waver in their attention to detail, like their line-up of summer-ready SSBDs. Cut from unique fabrics, sewn with care, and finished to keep you breezy in the warm weather this season, these shirts bridge the gap between classy and casual with ease.

About Gitman Vintage

The shirtmaking tradition Max Gitman started in 1932 is still being carried out to this day. Besides the sewing rooms where seasoned shirtmakers cut and sew Gitman’s prized pieces, their HQ is practically a library of rare fabrics and heritage designs going back nearly a century. By poring over this history, Gitman Vintage gets the ideas for each of their small, seasonal collections. Maybe one release is an oxford dye we’ve never seen before, and the next is a sturdy, limited-run flannel—each leaving us wanting to make a couple more long-term investments in our wardrobe.
