Oil-tanned leather
S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for oil-tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is wate-r, stain- and perspiration-resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing's 108+ year history.
Sizing
We recommend taking one half size down from your normal sneaker size
For example, if you typically wear a 9.5, take a 9 in Red Wing boots
When you first put them on, your Red Wings should have a snug fit in the upper with enough room to wiggle your toes. Over time the full-grain leather upper and leather footbed will mold to your foot for a custom fit
