The Roark founders (the “Revivalists,” as they call themselves) are close friends with no-joke adventurers—from surf champs, to Vice warzone photographers, to one of the actual characters in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Their collective experiences are enough to fill an encyclopedia of Hunter S. Thompson-style stories, and they remain hellbent on building smart apparel that can stand up to the wildest stuff they get into. In the latest chapter of their wandering adventures, they trekked through the Moroccan desert in search of that feeling of spotting an oasis on the hazy horizon and drinking freely of its rejuvenating waters. The Chiller Staple Swim Shorts are a pair of performance shorts with a side seam pattern inspired by Moroccan textiles.
