Story

Modern take on the pilot watch first popularized over 50 years ago

The Marathon Pilot’s Navigator was first developed in partnership with Kelly Air Force Base in 1986. This 41mm version is made with CeraShell®, Marathon’s proprietary case construction made up of bio-sourced plastic and ceramic powder. Included in the watch are removable spring bars, a radial-mounted tritium tube insert that’s affixed into the bezel pip, and an aluminum bezel to deliver a more tactile rotation. The right side of the watch flares out to form a built-in crown guard that protects the winding stem and helps stabilize the lightweight composite case on your wrist—a feature originally added for field operations—and the military-standard warning indicator symbolizes that the watch contains a radioactive (tritium) isotope. This evolution of the Navigator lightens the load while upholding durability and reliability.
