Story

Handmade jacket using a traditional weaving method

Practiced by the Meghwal community in Rajasthan, the PATTU weaving technique is known for its bright tones and extra weft. It’s thoughtfully crafted on a horizontal pit loom to create the intricate designs that reflect Rajasthan’s colorful culture. And like all KARDO pieces, the Bodhi Handcrafted Trucker Jacket is made by hand, and we have the weavers’ names to prove it: Khemaram, Dinesh, Shankar Ram, and Kheta Ram.

Features

  • Handmade, midweight jacket with a relaxed fit
  • Constructed with an extra-weft technique for more intricate designs
  • Contrasting, horizontal yoke
  • 1 chest patch pocket and 2 patch hip pockets

Materials

  • 60% Cotton, 40% Merino wool
  • Corozo nut buttons
  • Made in India

Sizing

  • KARDO apparel has a regular fit that’s true to size
  • For the best personal fit, compare the measurements of one of your best-fitting shirts to the garment measurements below

Garment Measurements

S M L XL
Chest 45¼ 47¼ 49¼ 51
Shoulder 18¾ 19¼ 19¾ 20⅜
Body Length 26¾ 27⅛ 27½ 27⅞
Sleeve Length 25½ 25⅞ 26¼ 26¾

All measurements are in inches.

How to Measure - Chest: Measure straight across from edge to edge, starting 1" below the armhole, multiply by 2 - Shoulder: Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Again, it’s easiest to measure across the back of the garment - Body Length: Start at the top of the shoulder where it meets the neck seam, and measure straight down to the hem - Sleeve Length: Start at the center of the back of the neck, measure straight across to the shoulder seam, and then follow the edge of the garment to the cuff. Pro tip: it’s easiest to measure across the back of the sleeve

About KARDO

“Stitched by: Manjoor,” read the label of the first KARDO shirt we picked up. The next one had a different name, and so did the one after that. That experience was our first glimpse into KARDO’s unique way of manufacturing clothes and working against fast-fashion, mass-produced trends. Each of their sturdy shirts, pants, and jackets is handmade from start to finish in New Delhi by a single tailor in an ethically-run workshop—all part of their belief that carefully made clothes are better clothes. If you know us, you know there’s no way we’re arguing with that. So we picked up some of our favorite pieces from KARDO’s workshop and plan on keeping them front-and-center in our wardrobes for years to come.
