An evolution of one of Astorflex’s bestselling chukkas, the Brownflex, the new Bareflex Chukka Boot provides a fresh take on the silhouette. The three-eye construction nods to the pairs that originally popularized the style back in the early 19th century, while the unlined leather upper ensures a comfortable fit and feel from the first wear. They also boast a more modern, natural shape thanks to the wider footbed, which is supported underfoot by a wedge sole made entirely of a natural crepe.

Nestled in the small Northern Italian town of Castel D’ario (Mantova) since the 19th century, Astorflex is a family-run footwear brand that’s been elevating the category for six generations. From suede desert boots to leather chukkas, each custom-made style is hand-built to the Travenzoli family’s legendary standards. In fact, when we first discovered their criminally underrated chukkas a while back, they shipped each order with a box of pasta from their family-run restaurant. We quickly learned that any shoemaker can put Italian leather on rubber soles and call it a day, but few can turn those same materials into a walking work of art. And that’s just what Astorflex does.
