Story

Hand-sewn heritage mocs designed for a lifetime of adventure

Yuketen reimagines a 1950s classic with the Angler Moc, a silhouette inspired by the specialized footwear worn by Maine’s freshwater fishermen. Handcrafted in Maine using only the finest Horween Chromexcel leather, these moccasins are hand-cut, hand-lasted, and hand-stitched to ensure a custom, "integumentary" fit that mirrors the human foot. By combining traditional moccasin construction with a modern cork-chip rubber sole, Yuketen delivers an exceptional piece of American craftsmanship that is as durable as it is refined.

Features

  • Genuine hand-sewn moccasin construction provides a flexible, personalized fit that evolves with wear
  • Horween Chromexcel pull-up leather offers a buttery, malleable feel with a rich aromatic finish
  • 6-layer leather and rubber bottoming unit delivers superior shock absorption and structural integrity
  • Vegetable-tanned leather insoles with memory foam and arch support significantly reduce foot fatigue
  • Original rubber camp sole mixed with cork chips ensures reliable traction and is fully resolable

Sizing

  • The Angler Mocs fit true to size. Take your usual shoe size.

About

Every now and then you get a mad scientist-type innovator who seems to bend all the rules. It turns out that Yuketen’s lead designer, Yuki Matsuda, falls into that category—and it’s totally paid off, since he’s now one of the most revered shoemakers out there. Using traditional shoe-making techniques and heritage styles as his foundation (think work boots and moccasins) he reimagines the whole shoe—adding here, taking away there, resulting in a modern hybrid of all the best-looking and comfiest parts.
