Italian-made hiking boots handcrafted for the colder weather

Handcrafted in Northern Italy at a seventh-generation workshop with over 200 years of shoemaking expertise, the Alvaflex Hiking Boot is designed for comfort during cold-weather efforts. The boot is built with chrome-tanned suede leather—which gives the upper a soft, broken-in feel right out of the box—plus a wool lining and matching padded collar that naturally insulate and wick away moisture. The anatomical footbed underfoot supports the natural shape of the wearer’s feet, while the lugged rubber sole provides reliable traction on rough terrain.

Nestled in the small Northern Italian town of Castel D’ario (Mantova) since the 19th century, Astorflex is a family-run footwear brand that’s been elevating the category for six generations. From suede desert boots to leather chukkas, each custom-made style is hand-built to the Travenzoli family’s legendary standards. In fact, when we first discovered their criminally underrated chukkas a while back, they shipped each order with a box of pasta from their family-run restaurant. We quickly learned that any shoemaker can put Italian leather on rubber soles and call it a day, but few can turn those same materials into a walking work of art. And that’s just what Astorflex does.
