Story

An OG trail shoe that perfectly encapsulates today’s streets-to-trails mentality

Since the brand’s inception in 1906, New Balance has been a titan in the footwear industry. And now, the brand has skyrocketed to new levels in the style zeitgeist Take the 580 OG trail silhouette for example. It may be based on a heritage style, but it’s been revamped with a slimmed-down toe and a reduced collar height making the 580 much easier to rock with the pants you already have in your closet. Finally, it’s finished with a waterproof Gore-Tex upper and a high-traction Vibram sole—two of the best tech features in the shoe game.

Features

  • GORE-TEX® waterproof fabric protects feet from wind, rain and water without sacrificing breathability

  • ABZORB midsole utilizes a combination of cushioning and compression resistance to absorb impact

About New Balance

A lot of us here at Huckberry grew up in New England, so we know New Balance. But once we started digging into their history, we found out the legendary brand goes back even farther than we thought, over a hundred years to 1906—that’s downright heritage territory. Breaking even further with the big-running-shoe industry, they produce over 4 million pairs a year right here in the USA. From technical trail runners capable of comfortably taking on uneven terrain to old-school trainers reminiscent of your dad’s favorite kicks from the ‘80s, New Balance has meticulously perfected the art of the sneaker.
